Technical Project Manager, Contract (Ref: EJ82814)

Responsibilities:

• The incumbent is accountable for the delivery of Machine-to-Machine (M2M) services where he or she is responsible for project and technical management of M2M projects. The incumbent needs to exhibit both technical and non-technical qualities, with a minimum of 5 years in technical related project management.
• Lead in the planning and project management of M2M service rollout, including technology studies and selection, capacity planning, performance improvement, eTC
• Managing key stakeholders to ensure on time and to specifications delivery. Key stakeholders include merchants (customers), application provider, operations, Products and engineering. Identification of business impacts resulting from project implementation and variations and thus proactively managing them
• Effective use of project management methods, technical apprehension to ensure accuracy and quality of work breakdown, tracking and forecasting
• Lead in preparation of tender specifications, evaluation of tender from both a technical and commercial standpointEngage in technical and commercial negotiation with existing and potential merchants and application provider
• To carry out any other duties as assigned by supervisors

Requirements:

• Degree in Computer Science or Engineering
• Minimum 5 years in technical project management working experience
• Sound understanding of IT related technology such as network, software intensive systems and communications
• Knowledge of M2M and mobile network will have significant advantage
• Good negotiation and influencing skill, and working independently are essential. Good interpersonal skills, and be able to be both a leader and a team player across different groups and levels
• Able to communicate effectively in both verbal and written English
• Prefers someone with IT project management experience
• Preferably someone from Telco industry, vendor environment, and good knowledge of mobile network.
