System Developer (Information Management)

Key responsibilities involve understanding system requirements, formulating system design , coding and implementing enhancement to the application.

System design scope includes translating the requirements and prototype into database design , use cases and class diagrams.

Abide to IAS development standards for system coding and web design.

Evaluate and recommend software applicable to the project.

Conduct unit testing , integrated testing , load testing and performance bench marking to ensure system meets the desired performance.

Skill set :

Good Bachelor degree in Computer Science/IT/Computer Engineering or its equivalent.

Adobe Flex (includes the programming and setting up)

Red hat Enterprise Linux 5.4(32/64)bits or later(setup and management)

Oracle 11gR1 or later(including PL/SQL development , SQL tuing ,create database table ,amend table fields and craft database SQL statements)

Eclipse IDE Version 3.5 or later(with subclipse for subversioning as plugins)

Object Oriented development life-cycle using UML

Java and J2EE programming on Linux Jmeter and Junit for testing

Knowledge of Tibco Messaging

Subversion and Sparx Enterprise Architect

Performance tuning is required.

Good Communication skills required.

SOFTWARE QA/SAFETY ENGINEER

Responsibilities

Section 1.01    Responsible for the Quality Assurance/Safety of Network Management Software (NMS) development and existing software

Section 1.02    Establish the QA/Software System Safety Program Plan for project activities in line with MIL-STD-882 “Standard Practice for System Safety” or equivalent standard

Section 1.03    Implement the QA/System Safety Program Plan and ensure that it is effectively integrated into all life cycle phases

Section 1.04    Identify System/Subsystem hazards of the project systems

Section 1.05    Analyse and propose hazard elimination, mitigation and control requirement to system design

Section 1.06    Monitor System Safety activities, review and ensure all proposed mitigation actions are implemented, monitored and managed properly

Section 1.07    Ensure all verification actions are satisfactorily completed as per the identified hazard lists and collect or provide evidence of hazard elimination or control

Section 1.08    Compile Software QA/ Safety Assessment Reports (SAR) to be delivered to customers

Section 1.09    Communicate residual safety risk to System Safety Working Group and Review Boards

Section 1.10    Assist any other project QA/Safety related matters

Section 1.11                Requirements:

Section 1.12    Degree/Diploma in Computer Engineering / Computer Science or equivalent

Section 1.13    Minimum 2 years Quality and programming experience using C/C++ or Java. Familiar with Unix (Solaris/Linux) and Windows Server operating system

Section 1.14    Familiar with JBOSS, JMS, J2EE, TCP/IP Networking & Internet technologies. Good understanding of Web Services technologies. Practical experience with shell scripting, relational databases (e.g. MySQL, MSSQL), XML, SNMP, TCP/IP domain preferred.

Section 1.15    Practical working knowledge in process tools like Fault Tree Analysis, Failure Mode & Effects Analysis and Hazard Analysis would be an advantage

Section 1.16    Good knowledge of MS Office like Excel and PowerPoint

Section 1.17    Independent with good interpersonal, communication
