Story Writer cum Commercial Officer (Shipyard)

Job Scope :

1. Check and able to assess percentage of work in progress, work requests and shipyard demand to actual work done onboard vessel.

2. Prepare report (variation order request (VOR) and work completion report)

3. To have reports done and duly signed and approved by the shipyard foreman or PJM

4. Raise Sub contractor requisition from the yard foreman

5. Raise and negotiate work orders, additional jobs and outfitting jobs from yard's contract department.

6. To monitor daily work progress on board vessels and on site closely.

7.  Ensure all works done are accurately and properly documented and approved by the shipyard personnel.

8.   Raise sales invoices for billing of jobs done

Requirements :

1. Minimum 3-5 years relevant working experience in the shipyard 

2. Good knowledge of the steel weight calculations

3. Meticulous and attentive to details, ensure all job done are properly documented for billing purpose

4.  Able to negotiate with the shipyard personnel on the final settlement value.
