Strong experience of Red Hat/Sun Solaris Administration ( Both Red Hat and Sun Solaris experience is a must. If mandatory primary skill is Sun Solaris then mandatory secondary skill will be RedHat Linux or vice versa).
Knowledge in the following areas:
- Knowledge on NIS, LDAP, DNS
- Capacity Planning
- Experience in using Remedy tool effectively
- Experience of 5-6 years in UNIX Production Support environment
- Strong experience of Sun Solaris/RedHat Linux Administration
- Good experience in Veritas Cluster Server
- Good experience in Veritas Volume Manager
- Experience in OS Upgrades and Patch management
- Experienced in SAN
- Experienced in Virtualization technologies like LDOMS/Zones/Containers
- Knowledge of Shell/Perl Scripting
- Provide support to resolve Severity 1 and Severity 2 incidents.
- Provide expert solutions to the escalated calls
- Provide on call support for OS
- Ability to resolve various issues related to Compatibility, Scalability, Performance, etc.
- Participate in change management meetings and present/get approval for required changes
- A strong team player with an experience working in multi-cultural environment. Sensitive to different roles and responsibilities.
