Software engineer (NMS)

Responsibilities:

Responsible for Network Management Software (NMS) development and maintenance of existing software

Conceptualize, design & propose value-added NMS solution

Requirements:

Master/Bachelor degree in Electronics, Communications, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent

Minimum 2 years programming experience using C/C++ or Java. Familiar with Unix (Solaris/Linux) and Windows Server operating system

Familiar with JBOSS, JMS, J2EE, TCP/IP Networking & Internet technologies. Good understanding of Web Services technologies. Practical experience with shell scripting, relational databases (e.g. MySQL, MSSQL), XML, SNMP, TCP/IP domain preferred.

Strong problem solving and trouble shooting skills for network management system software and hardware. Strong communications and technical writing skills. Self-motivated, hands-on, willing to learn and results-oriented. Good team player.

Experience working in NMS system environment will be an advantage.

RF Hardware Engineer

Job Purpose

Responsible to design, implement and test RF hardware electronics for the Radio Frequency (TTC/PDT) Subsystem, and ensure that the modules fulfill the subsystem and module specifications.

Principal Accountabilities

Develop the hardware design for the space segment Radio Frequency subsystem and modules.

Implement the hardware design, to carry out PCB schematic design of the hardware modules, and/or FPGA code design, programming and test for the FPGA module(s), and/or Digital, Analog, Microwave, Antenna circuit design, simulation, implementation and verification.

Prepare test plans & procedures for module(s) and subsystem level verification, to carry out the test procedures, and to ensure that the end product fulfils the subsystem and module(s) specifications.

To assist the team leader on documentation on specifications, design, test plans & procedures, and be accountable to team leader on schedules of work assignment completion.

Continuously acquire and improve in skills and knowledge on hardware design and components evaluation for space applications.

Requirements

Core:

Experience in hardware design and development

Working knowledge in one or more areas of :

High efficiency SSPA Design

Phased Locked Dielectric Resonator Oscillator design

Active Phase Array Antenna design

Signal processing using FPGA in the areas of PLL, Demodulation, Forward Error Correction Coding (E.G. LDPC, RS)

Secondary:

Ability to work as a team to carry out hardware design

Qualifications – R&D

Posses at least a B. Eng/Masters Degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or Aerospace Engineering or Electrical and Computer Engineering from a reputable university, with specialization in Microwave, Antenna or Signal Processing in FPGA design

Experience

Experience in Microwave simulators, VHDL, Labview and product development would be an added advantage.
