Software Engineer (COBOL & Java)
Required to understand/interpret design specifications
Required to convert design specifications to workable units of code using programming languages
Required to perform testing of codes developed using standard methodology like test cases
Required to have basic understanding of the software development life cycle (SDLC)
Required to perform code reviews of co-developers and possess ability to identify issues/gaps against the design specifications.
Required to manage software configuration Item (e.g. documentation & source codes) and ensure all traceability are made available at all times from development till production environment.
Assumes the responsibility of the units of work assigned and shows strong enthusiasm in embracing technology changes.
Constantly updates his/her technical skills by attending internal or external courses.
Required to understand applications and its integration across applications at the technical level
Required to follow standard processes/guidelines laid down by internal IT OSSP processes
Required to support both enhancements and support of live applications
'Required to have minimal one of the following skill set :
- Cobol (Native) :COBOL/400 Programming, CL Programming, Subfiles programming and AS400/Query and SQL , Formscape , Aldon
- Cobol (SMART 400)
- Oracle : SQL /PLSQL, Oracle Forms , Oracle Reports, Oracle db - 9i and above , Understanding of OOAD concepts
- Java :Experience in using myeclipse, JAVA 1.4 and higher, understanding of J2EE.

Test / Defect Management Tool (HP - Quality Centre)
Possess an IT degree or diploma.
Should show positive attitude towards learning
Shows proficiency in using the programming languages and follows industry best practices.
Strong team player and displays ability to work in a small/large teams.
Preferred to have :
Prior experience in the desired technology is preferred.
At least 1-2 Years of experience in software development is preferred.
Good communication skills are preferred.
