Digital Design & Development Engineer

Job Description

• Responsible for development and support of digital hardware for RF subsystems/modules. 
• Responsible for the coding of FPGA/microprocessor used for controlling the RF subsystems/ modules.
• Participate in product development activities that includes defining functional specifications, defining functional specifications, design and implementation of circuits,
• Conduct acceptance tests and product validation tests (e.g. MIL-STD-461 or MIL-STD-810),
• Create design documentation such as schematics, test procedures etc

Job Requirements

• Good Masters/ Bachelor’s Degree in Electronics/Electrical Engineering.
• Strong knowledge of digital electronics fundamentals and principles.
• Experience with Schematics and PCB design and layout development. Knowledge of use of CAD tools such as Protel is an added advantage.
• Experience with FPGA architectures and VHDL, and working knowledge of Xilinx/Altera development tools are preferred.
• Familiar with LABVIEW programming is an added advantage.
• Highly motivated and responsible, committed to project deadlines.
• Can work independently or with a team.
• Good communication and written skills.

RF Design & Development Engineer

Job Description

• Perform RF subsystem or module design, simulation and verification in order to achieve required specifications. The subsystems/ modules range from receiver, upconverter, and frequency synthesizer using DDS or PLL technology.
• Develop technical documents such as schematics, design document, test procedures.
• Lead testing and qualification test activities in order to meet required environmental operating conditions e.g. MIL-STD-461 or MIL-STD-810.
• Provide technical advice to other projects.
• Contribute actively to internal reviews to ascertain potential risks and mitigation plans.

Job Requirements

• Good Masters/ Bachelor’s Degree in Electronics Engineering, preferably specializing in the areas of RF circuit design or Communaications.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in RF system, subsystem and circuit level of hardware design, implementation and testing. Apt in performing RF gain budget, noise figure and intermodulation spurious calculations. Experience in work involving higher RF frequencies will be an advantage.
• Knowledge of RF test methodologies and use of RF test equipment such as spectrum analyzer, signal generator, power meter, noise figure meter and network analyzer.
• Experience in use of such RF design tools as ADS, SysCal or Microwave Office. Knowledge of MATLAB will be an advantage.
• Keen to learn and work with new RF technologies and assembly processes.
• Highly motivated and responsible, committed to project deadlines.
• Can work independently or with a team.
• Good communication and written skills.
