Creates and maintains design standards encompassing LAN/WAN/RF networks to be installed at customer sites. Serves as top-level technical support to LodgeNet Broadband Installations (BIS), Sales, TechConnection, Field Service and any subcontractors in these fields.
Required Skills
# Strong experience with complex RF channel plans, TCP/IP addressing schemes and complex network designs to include accurate services and materials lists as a result of a site survey or from provided information.
# Strong experience with MS Office, MS Visio for data network and installation documentation.
# Experience with local area network installation and support is required.
# Previous experience with UNIX, RF, Motorola Enterprise RF Planner, CAD or WAN installation and support is a plus.
# The follow vendor certifications are desired: Cisco CCDA, CCNA, Advanced Wireless LAN Design or Field Specialist and Packeteer.
# Strong oral and written communication skills are required.
# This position must be able to clearly communicate technical concepts to non-technical employees and translate non-technical business and user requirements to technical specifications.
# Must be able to travel when necessary to perform essential job functions or training.
