SAS Data Analyst - Teradata, Oracle, MVS, SQL Server

Job Description

1. Ability to access data from multiple sources, clean data consistently, and consolidate data into uniform structures using both SAS and SQL programming.
2. Responsible for creating advanced SAS and SQL processes that interact seamlessly together.
3. The successful candidate should have the ability to program in SAS and SQL proficiently out of the box.
4. This includes a demonstrated ability to create SAS macros and utilize intermediate and advanced features of SAS to create end-to-end processes that clean, manipulate, and aggregate data.
5. Responsible for creating basic UNIX shell scripts to tie processes together, including SAS and SQL scripts.
6. Demonstrated ability to move data between production systems and across multiple platforms
7. While not required, the ideal candidate should have some experience with Business Objects or a similar reporting suite and should be able to program in Teradata SQL specifically

Job Requirements

• Very strong SAS programming (data step / base SAS, basic statistics, macro, SQL, and reporting) and database / data warehouse knowledge.
• SAS certification is preffered.
• Familiarity with different database systems (SQL Server, Oracle, MVS, Teradata).
• Passionate in data mining, data manipulation and generating insights from data.
• SAS macro skill is a must.
• 5+ years experience with Financial Services clients
• Education: science or engineering with solid quantitative training, preferably computer science, statistics, mathematics, econometrics, or management information systems.

Preffered Skills: Teradata, Strong SAS Programmer, Advanced and Base Certification in SAS, Data Analysis, SAS Macro, Data Manipulation
