Quality Assurance Engineer

Job Purpose

To provide reliability and QA engineering support in the development of reliable satellite systems.

Principal Accountabilities

Evaluate parts and materials for use in space applications.

Perform reliability analyses to identify high failure rate components and assess the adequacy of satellite redundancy configuration.

Conduct radiation analysis to assess the build-in shielding of the satellite and predict the frequency of radiation induced errors.

Perform environmental stress screening on assembled hardware to remove weak parts and workmanship defects.

Conduct audit to ensure implementation of QA procedures including nonconformance control, waiver/deviation and FRACAS.

Conduct audit to ensure proper keeping of QA records and observation of contamination control and electrostatic discharge (ESD) precautions.

Perform Failure Analysis to determine root cause of failures.

Requirements

Relevant skill and knowledge:

Reliability analyses including reliability prediction, Failure Modes, Effects and Criticality Analysis and Fault Tree Analysis.

Component selection and application guidelines.

ISO9000 Quality Management System

Certified Reliability Engineer, QA Engineer or ESD Professional is an advantage.

Qualifications – R&D

Degree or Masters in Electrical & Electronics Engineering.

Experience

Fresh graduate with no experience may apply.

Software Quality Assurance  Engineer

Job Purpose

Provide the necessary software engineering process guidance to achieve ISO 9001 certification or CMM 3 certification. Continue to review the software development process to ensure the process is continuously improved and the company maintains its ISO 9001 and/or CMM-3 certifications.

Principal Accountabilities

Verify and validate that software development plans, requirements, design, codes, test plans, test scenarios, test scripts and operation procedures are developed in compliance with the company’s software development standards.

Endorse that the flight and ground software are ready for operation release.

Identify program deviance from standards, and suggest modifications to ensure compliance.

Keep records of software defects uncovered during software testing. Analyze these defects to determine root causes and recommends improvements.

Monitor flight and ground software performance to ensure efficient and problem-free operations so as to monitor users’ satisfaction.

Requirements

Qualifications – R&D

Degree or Masters in Software Engineering or equivalent.

Proficiency in the use of programming language in C, C++, C#, ASP.NET and SQL.

Experience related to the development of operational software following strict standards.

Familiarity with NASA/ESA Software and Mission Assurance standards is a plus.

Knowledge of Software Engineering.

Knowledge of CMM and ISO 9001.

Experience

More than 5 years of working experience in software quality assurance and or development.
