Quality Assurance Associate Engineer

You will play a key role in ensuring the development of reliable satellite system. You will assist the QA Engineer in the implementation of the QA and Reliability Program. You will be required to perform reliability analyses to assess the adequacy of redundancy for the satellite system. Part of your role will include performing functional and qualification tests on components. You will also be trained to conduct visual inspection at key inspection points to ensure the developed satellite system meets the relevant workmanship standard (e.g. IPC-A-610).

Job Description:

Successful applicant will be involved in the full developmental cycle of a satellite project.  You are requiredto:

Implement parts program including the compiling of parts and materials list, standardization of parts and tracking of long lead time items

Conduct qualification tests for non-standard parts

Perform incoming inspection (both visual inspection and functional tests) of electronic parts

Conduct checks to ensure correct kitting of parts for assembly

Perform environmental stress screening (ESS) on assembled hardware

Conduct quality control (QC) inspection during satellite assembly, integration and test

Witness subsystem and satellite tests

Perform reliability analyses to assess the adequacy of satellite redundancy configuration

Conduct audit to ensure proper keeping of QA records and observation of contamination control and electrostatic discharge (ESD) precautions

Requirements

Diploma in Electrical/Electronics Engineering

Knowledge or experience in at least one of the following areas:

Reliability analyses including reliability prediction, Failure Modes, Effects and Criticality Analysis and Fault Tree Analysis.

IPC Workmanship Standards (e.g. IPC-A-600, IPC-A-610 and IPC-WHMA-A-620)

ISO9000 Quality Management System
