Process Development Engineer – Assembly

Provide and develop new process/technology to meet the needs of Product Development, Marketing and Manufacturing operations to achieve an edge through advanced and competitive processes.

The Person:

1. Minimum Diploma/ Degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing or Chemical (Plastic) Engineering or other relevant discipline.
2. Minimum 5 years experience (diploma) or 3 years experience (degree) in Tool Design or Manufacturing.
3. Knowledge in plastic technology, stamping processes and assembly processes including hands-on experience. Experience in Vision system and PLC programming will be preferred.
4. Good interpersonal skills, strong technical background with analytical mind.
5. Self motivator and ability to communicate well with all level of staffs and external contacts.
6. Co-ordinate and interface with Design, Process, Quality, Manufacturing and suppliers regarding the development of products.

The Job:                      

1. Design and develop new processes to meet customer requirements and manufacturability
2. Manage and monitor tooling project investment for new product.
3. Modify existing equipment, jigs and fixtures and machines or processes to meet the needs of manufacturing operations
4. Introduce new technology and design in processing, handling and manufacturing technology abreast with latest, advanced technologies available 
5. Execute engineering project to enhance yield, productivity improvement and automation of processes
6. Initiate, develop and implement new processes or supplier
7. Qualification and Documentation of new processes developed for manufacturing
