Job Description
- Optimizing queries and making any necessary changes to table or data structure
- Tuning high performance, high availability databases
- Reviewing and applying schema changes
- Creating a large number of master-slave replicas
- Creating automation in a distributed database environment
- Monitoring of production environment, migration of objects from Development to QA to Product environments
- Data warehousing
Requirements
- 5+ years experience as a MySQL DBA in a high online traffic environment
- Hands on experience with MySQL replication
- Knowledge of Red Hat Enterprise Linux and FreeBSD
- High Availability experience and database design
- UNIX/Linux shell scripting
- Scaling large databases with large user applications
