Mechanical Engineer (Installation/Design)
Responsibilities
- Plans, designs, coordinates and implement the Installation, Check, Integration & Testing activities of the mechanical/electrical system
- Undertake all mechanical designing tasks (for example, shelters, enclosures etc for VSAT systems).
- Perform mechanical analysis on the mechanical designs.
- Involved in site survey to better understand the actual project requirements.
- Liaison with sub-contractors on project designs and fabrication work.
- Participate in technical meeting with customers/users.
- Purchase/recommend mechanical/electrical materials.
- Prepare different types of project documentations for submission to contractors and customer.
Education and/or Experience
- Degree in mainly Mechanical or Electrical or equivalent with two years experience; or Diploma with four to six years related experience in system development or outdoor installation work.
- Experience in installing communication equipment and outdoor antenna is preferred.
- Knowledgeable in VSAT module and microwave/RF equipment module is preferred.
- Experience in SOLIDWORKS or CAD software is a MUST.
- Experience in using Microsoft Visio and AutoCAD are an advantage.
- Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form.
