Mechanic / Tractor Trailer Mechanic

You will be responsible for performing all required maintenance functions on both our power units and trailers. Mechanics may also be required to perform maintenance functions on various powered and non-powered equipment used in our dock operations for example, forklifts and carts. Mechanics prepare linehaul and local units for safe dispatch. This may include performing pretrip inspections, verifying validation of permits and fueling and cleaning of units. Mechanics may also be required to reconfigure equipment as needed; may be required to perform timely and efficient road-calls on disabled or damaged equipment.

A high school diploma or an equivalent is preferred for mechanic applicants. Work experience in a truck shop or experience with engine rebuilding, transmissions, differentials, electrical systems and other system components.
