The Impaired Loan Accounting Specialist would be expected to:
Handle complex technical accounting, valuation, operations, and systems issues related to transactions involving the purchase of distress or impaired assets related to accounting transactions.
Maintain current knowledge of new accounting guidance as it relates to impaired assets and quickly understand and implement necessary changes.
Perform technical accounting research and assist with implementation of new accounting and regulatory guidance to ensure compliance with internal and external accounting and regulatory policies and procedures .
Analyze, interpret, and present financial information and data to a diverse stakeholder map.
Support month end close, including performing GL review and variance analyses.
Handle multiple tasks while appropriately prioritizing projects.
All other duties as assigned.
Requirements
· Bachelor's Degree in Finance or related field
· CPA Certification and/or MBA
· Five to seven years of progressively responsible financial reporting/analysis experience including working with analyzing, accounting, and reporting on impaired /SOP 03-3 transactions or equivalent combination of education and experience
· Must be able to independently plan and conduct non-routine financial analysis/reporting projects and consult effectively to higher level management.
· Strong team building and motivating skills
· Must have effective oral and written communication skills
· Ability and experience analyzing, interpreting, and presenting financial information and data to a diverse stakeholder map
COMPUTER AND OFFICE EQUIPMENT SKILLS
Strong PC skills including Excel, Access (or other database program) and have exposure to Hyperion/SAP/Other budget forecasting software
