Java/J2EE Production Support Engineer
Role & Responsibilities
- L2 & L3 for the bank application
- 24x7 stand-by on call, rotation basis within team.
- Ops monitoring & health checks to ensure application is up and running
- Conduct problem analysis to permanently resolve production issue
- Raise CRs for any changes into production
- Deploy changes & releases into Production by following the bank config & release mgt process
- Incident Mgt - Ensure that all incidents are handled & resolved within SLA with the bank
- Investigate & troubleshoot reported issues thru emails & phones
- Coordinate with stakeholders like SA, DBA, FW, Interfacing Systems (eg. Finacle) etc
- Issues tracking & maintenance
- Weekly compilation of issues, review with Bank including prioritization, fixes, etc
- Monitor & review tickets to meet SLA
- Receive & execute service requests (< 3 MD)
- Support Infra Upgrade & Maintenance, UAT environment, bank audit.
Skill Set
At least 3 years of L2&L3 production support experience in a banking environment
Must have technical knowledge, experience & hands on the following - Java, J2EE, WebSphere Application Server, WebSphere Portal, Oracle, Unix, Portal Application
Good and clear communication skills
Good customer management as he needs to deal with the end-users in the bank
Possess strong analytical skill, and able to do troubleshooting
