Java/J2EE Developer (XML/ Spring/ Hibernate)

As a software developer, you will ensure that quality software is delivered according to specification and the correct procedures are followed in line with technical and business objectives and company strategy.

The team is responsible for developing key company business systems based on Web related and opensource technologies. The team also provides day to day maintenance support for these systems.

At least 3 years intensive experience in the analysis, design, implementation and support of medium to large complex applications

• Experience in web application development using: Java/J2EE, JSP, Servlets, MVC, HTML, Javascript, RDMBS, XML, Web Services

• Experience in either:

Spring and Hibernate frameworks, or

Advanced XML technologies such as:

 XPath

 XSLT

 XQuery

 XML Database

• Familiar with design patterns, experience in resolving real world problems using design patterns would be an advantage.

• Familiar with template engines e.g. Velocity, Freemarker

• Familiar with Open Source Java technologies and tools such as JUnit, Mockito, Maven, Subversion, Emma, Hudson

• Strong believer in good code quality and re-factoring.

• Good interpersonal and communication skills

• Possess can-do attitude, initiative, creativity and able to work under stringent time schedules

• Able to travel up to 3 weeks for training, bond of 1 year if required to travel.

• Experience to Agile development, XP practices, and Test Driven Development.

• Experience in working with overseas customers will be an advantage
