Position  : Internet Protocol (IP) Communications Engineer

Key Responsibilities:

·         Design and implement applications in the data communications and internet

      domain

Key Requirements:

·         Degree in Computer Science or Electrical/Electronic/Communications Engineering

·         Good understanding of data communications, internet technologies and TCP/IP protocols

·         Software product development experience in C, C++ or Visual C++

·         Experience programming in Windows and Linux environment

·         Ability to develop novel software engineering solutions to design/implementation problems

·         Ability to learn quickly in a dynamic environment

SOFTWARE QA/SAFETY ENGINEER

Responsibilities

·         Responsible for the Quality Assurance/Safety of Network Management Software (NMS) development and existing software

·         Establish the QA/Software System Safety Program Plan for project activities in line with MIL-STD-882 “Standard Practice for System Safety” or equivalent standard

·         Implement the QA/System Safety Program Plan and ensure that it is effectively integrated into all life cycle phases

·         Identify System/Subsystem hazards of the project systems

·         Analyse and propose hazard elimination, mitigation and control requirement to system design

·         Monitor System Safety activities, review and ensure all proposed mitigation actions are implemented, monitored and managed properly

·         Ensure all verification actions are satisfactorily completed as per the identified hazard lists and collect or provide evidence of hazard elimination or control

·         Compile Software QA/ Safety Assessment Reports (SAR) to be delivered to customers

·         Communicate residual safety risk to System Safety Working Group and Review Boards

·         Assist any other project QA/Safety related matters

Requirements:

·         Degree/Diploma in Computer Engineering / Computer Science or equivalent

·         Minimum 2 years Quality and programming experience using C/C++ or Java. Familiar with Unix (Solaris/Linux) and Windows Server operating system

·         Familiar with JBOSS, JMS, J2EE, TCP/IP Networking & Internet technologies. Good understanding of Web Services technologies. Practical experience with shell scripting, relational databases (e.g. MySQL, MSSQL), XML, SNMP, TCP/IP domain preferred.

·         Practical working knowledge in process tools like Fault Tree Analysis, Failure Mode & Effects Analysis and Hazard Analysis would be an advantage

·         Good knowledge of MS Office like Excel and Powerpoint

·         Independent with good interpersonal, communication and problem solving skills
