Database Administrator (Senior/Junior)

Position overview

The candidate shall be responsible for support/installation, upgrade and maintenance of databases of various types (Oracle/Sybase/SQL Server) on different platform, windows/Linux/Unix.

Responsibilities overview

·         Managing servers as an appliance. Focus on maintaining and repairing database systems

·         Work with Architects and IT Lines (developers) for designing and implementing new database systems

·         Monitoring, improving performance and auditing databases

·         End user and IT Lines assistance

·         Capacity management and planning for future expansion requirements

·         Implement security measures to safeguard database

·         Regular attention for maintenance plans and performance tuning

·         Service request management for complex requests

·         Problem follow up and resolution

·         Managing version upgrade

·         Requirement to be on call (nights and weekend) to performance downtime maintenance (Database Support Level 1 and Level 2)

·         Perform tuning and trouble shooting

·         Undertake daily administration on all platforms including backup/restore, creating users and processing rollouts and downtime maintenance

·         Update and document technical procedures

·         User requests using service management tools and respect Service Level Agreement.

·         Escalation in case of complex requests

·         Constantly keep up with changing technology

Requirements

·         Minimum 4 to 5 years working experience for Senior DBA position and minimum 2 to 3 years for Junior DBA position

·         Database Administration: SYBASE and/or ORACLE and/or MS

·         SQLSERVER

o SYBASE :

·         „X ASE 12.X et 15, Replication Server (Replication Application and WSB),

·         „X IQ

o ORACLE

·         „X Oracle 9i & 11G, RMAN, Datapump, Dataguard, streams technologies for Fast Refresh

·         „X Fast refresh technology

o SQL SERVER

·         SQL server 2005 and 2008, logshippig, mirroring, replication

·         BI components: RS, IS, AS

·         Unix, Linux and windows

·         High availability

·         Security

·         Project management

·         Reporting management

·         Experience with ITIL processes

·         Service request management.

·         Business Intelligence, Datawarehouse

·         Basic knowledge on Storage management

·         French speaking capability is an advantage

·         Must have experience in Banking Industry
