Application Developer Oracle (Forms and Reports)

Requirements:

• Diploma, Bachelor’s Degree or above, major in Computer Science or IT Related course
• 5 years experience in Oracle Forms & Reports in 9i/10g
• 3 years of J2EE/ Java experience is preferred.
• Experience with PL/SQL programming languages
• Experience in Application Migration (Forms and Reports, PL/SQL) is an advantage

Must have the ability to:

• Use Migration Assistant to upgrade Forms (6.0 to 10.1.2)
• Solve Forms upgrade problems such as replace obsolete built-in by new built-in
• Perform PL/SQL programming
• Documentation of issue and change done during upgrade/ migration
• Use TranslationHub to translation Forms modules into different languages
• Oracle Reports upgrade
• Data Browser upgrade
• Solve Reports upgrade problems such as obsolete parameters
• Provide advisory and troubleshooting role on custom (Java) application migration:
• Identify all the external systems connecting to and from the Application Servers.
• Provide recommendation on application code if hit any issue during migration.
• Review the application deployment descriptors and application packaging.
• Review Java Messaging Service (JMS) settings and Java Database Connectivity (JDBC) settings.
• Review the WebLogic Server clustering settings (if any) and provide technical assistance on failover test.

Test Analyst

Job Description:

-Understand and analyze testing requirements to prepare test plan, and test design
-Advise project team on design consideration to facilitate meeting of requirements. Advise business analysts and/or customers on the testing requirements and test techniques
-Prepare and ensure readiness of test bed and test environment to carry out the test execution
-Execute test in accordance to the test design
-Analyze test results and work with respective teams to resolve issues such as defect open and resolution rate, bottlenecks in performance and other defects
-Prepare test report for submission
-Provide regular test results updates
-Recommend and use automated testing tools where appropriate
-Manage test activities and ensure the planned test activities are completed as scheduled
-Adopt test standards and testing methodology
-Create awareness, conduct training on test techniques, assist in implementation of test standards, consistent methodology, best practices and principles. Coach, train and mentor project teams on test practices
 
Competency:
Software Testing Fundamentals
Appreciate the fundamental principles and concepts in testing
Understand testing terminology and able to use them in communication and documentation
Understand various testing techniques and know how they can aid in effective testing
 
Testing Process
Understand the end-to-end testing process, incl. test planning, design, preparation, execution and reporting
Awareness of the deliverables for the various test phases
 

Testing Techniques
Detailed understanding of the different test techniques (e.g. white-box: basic-path;black-box: boundary value analysis, decision tables, state transition)
Hands-on experience in applying the various techniques to design effective test cases
 
Test Management

Able to manage the delivery of the testing services according to defined scope
Able to manage project scope and customer expectations
Able to plan the available resources to deliver the project on schedule with allocated budget
Able to effectively track and monitor the progress of testing
Able to identify the risks and changes during testing & adjust the relevant activities accordingly
Establish and ensure alignment of the testing processes and practices in the team.
Able to estimate testing effort in a fair manner based on the estimation model
 
Automation Tool
Understand test automation concepts and frameworks
Knowledge of the various automation tools in the market
Trained on at least one of the following automation tools (self-study/format class training)
Functional - SilkTest, QTP
Performance - SilkPerformer,
LoadRunner
Able to do scripting for the project using the designated automation tool
Able to troubleshoot scripting errors and provide work-around solutions in the even of test tool's limitation
Able to evaluate and provide recommendations on test tools for projects
