 Application Architect (Java/J2EE)

You will work in Java/J2EE delivery projects to provide technical design and development expertise.  You will be hands-on and work with local and off-shore teams to deliver projects on the technical aspects.

Other broad areas includes the followings:-

§  Analyse requirements and functional specifications and translate into design and program specifications. 

§  Hands-on and be able to lead and guide developers, and work with local and offshore development team to deliver systems according to specifications

§  Assist in integration testing, be able to diagnose program defects, integration and performance issues and to recommend and carry out necessary follow-ups

§  Ensure completeness and quality of development work carried out

§  Be able to talk to clients when necessary to explain design rationale and defend design

§  Able to work independently as well as in teams

Requirements:

§  Minimum 8 years of relevant work experience with at least 3 years of recent/ proven experiences as a Designer or System Architect (i.e. system design, performance tuning, and system prototyping & maintenance)

§  Must have experience designing and implementing J2EE applications and design applications based in Java/ J2EE architecture framework & design patterns

§  Solid understanding of Java development, Service Oriented Architectures and web services.

§  Ability to develop the Software Architecture Document (SAD) and overall application architecture.  Ability to write micro design documents that adhere to the architecture specified in the SAD

§  Must have the ability to write excellent code that will be used as examples for the development team.

§  Proven ability to communicate with functional and technical teams at times to clarify requirements, specifications and demonstrate components

§  Excellent time management skills

Java/J2EE Developer

You will be involved in the entire software development life cycle including application development, implementation, maintenance and post-implementation review. In addition, you will assist in integration testing which include diagnosing program defects, integration and performance issues and to recommend and carry out necessary follow-ups. The role requires you to be hands-on and you will be involved in providing user support requires investigating and troubleshooting issues, as well as providing timely improvements / resolutions to address problems / incidents encountered.

·         1 year of software development experience using Java / J2EE.

·         Familiarity in DB2, Crystal Report, SQR, GPS Struts, Store Procedure will be preferred

·         Ensure completeness and quality of development work carried out.

·         Must be hands-on and enjoys programming
