Roles and responsibilities:
The role required is an Ab Initio developer with the following responsibilities:

  • Analyze requirements and provide work effort estimate.
  • Perform data requirements analysis and create design specification and operational documentation.
  • Serve as a Subject Matter Expert on assigned Projects, Production Services processes, products, and technologies to all areas of the business.
  • Analyze functional requirements, mapping documents, assist in problem solving and trouble shooting.
  • Coding, testing, modifying, debugging, documenting, and implementation of Ab Initio Graphs.
  • Act as a mentor to other ETL resources.
  • Monitor systems and utilization for performance and capability trends, pro-actively identify and implement corrective measures based on gathered metrics to prevent impact to internal processes or clients.
  • Work with different application groups and deliver effective solutions.
  • Assist in technical specifications and other deliverable documents.
  • Develop Test Cases and plans to complete the Unit testing.
  • Support System testing.
  • Work with multiple teams and report to technical leads.
  • Able to work in multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Production support and maintenance of applications.
  • Performance Tuning of Ab-Initio graphs, processes, and load routines.
  • Job Qualifications

  • 2 to 5 years AbInitio development experience:
  • Strong UNIX and Shell Scripting experience is a must.
  • Broad-based cross-functional IT experience in application development and interface design is essential.
  • Must have sound experience using databases such as Oracle and Teradata.
  • Must be able to interpret the transformation rules and develop the software components to support the same.
  • Excellent Analysis and problem solving skills.
  • Must work well in a collaborative, team environment as well as independently.
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
  • Data Warehouse/ETL design and development methodologies knowledge and experience is preferred.
